The Lomita Chamber of Commerce is excited to invite you to partner with us for the 2024 State of the City Address, taking place over breakfast on November 21, 2024. This year’s theme, “Legendary Lomita: Celebrating Our Past, Building Our Future,” promises to be a remarkable event where the Honorable Mayor Bill Uphoff will share key achievements, initiatives, and the city’s vision for the future with our business community, partners, and residents. Mayor Uphoff will be joined by Mayor Pro Tem Mark Waronek and our dedicated City Councilmembers James Gazeley, Cindy Segawa and Barry Waite.

Plus, we’ll take an engaging look at Lomita’s rich history as we hear stories from lifelong residents, a visit with 1964’s Miss Lomita, and memories of growing up in one of the town’s oldest homes. You’ll even get a rare look at Lomita’s first fire engine, a 1917 Model T, carefully maintained by the grandson of Lomita’s first L.A. County fire chief. With plenty of time for networking, it’s the perfect opportunity to reconnect and make new connections in the heart of Lomita!

We’re delighted to host this special breakfast at the Lomita Park Tom Rico Center in the Marc Fosnaugh Gymnasium, where we will gather with participants from Lomita and neighboring communities, including  businesses, residents, organizations, dignitaries, and leaders at the Regional, State, and local levels.
